The Role

We're looking for a Director of Business Development to lead strategic growth, develop new commercial roofing opportunities, and build long-term relationships with key decision-makers across Central and Southwest Florida.

This role is ideal for a highly connected, relationship-driven professional with strong sales instincts and commercial real estate or roofing/construction experience. You'll focus on generating and nurturing relationships with property managers, building owners, facility managers, HOA/condo associations, consultants, and asset managers.

The goal: open doors, develop trust, identify roofing needs, and move opportunities into the sales pipeline.

Business Development & Relationship Building

  • Identify and pursue new commercial roofing opportunities through networking, referrals, cold outreach, LinkedIn, industry events, and association involvement
  • Build and maintain relationships with property managers, property owners, facility managers, asset managers, consultants, contractors, and HOA/condo board members
  • Represent CES Commercial Roofing at industry events, networking functions, trade associations, and property management events
  • Develop long-term referral sources and strategic partnerships that generate consistent commercial roofing opportunities
  • Position CES Commercial Roofing as a trusted long-term roofing partner for property managers and building owners

Sales Pipeline Development

  • Generate qualified leads for commercial roof inspections, repairs, maintenance programs, restoration, replacement, and storm-related services
  • Work closely with estimators, sales representatives, project managers, and ownership to move qualified opportunities through the sales process
  • Maintain consistent follow-up with prospects, open opportunities, past clients, and referral partners
  • Track all outreach activity, prospect conversations, and opportunity status in the company CRM
  • Support account-specific strategies for large property portfolios, management companies, and high-value prospects

Client Strategy & Market Growth

  • Identify target accounts, property management companies, and key decision-makers across CES Commercial Roofing's service areas
  • Help develop and execute a business development strategy for growing commercial market share
  • Create opportunities for lunch-and-learns, educational events, roof assessment campaigns, and hurricane preparedness outreach
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry opportunities
  • Assist in strengthening CES Commercial Roofing's presence in Tampa Bay, Orlando, Sarasota, Fort Myers, and surrounding areas

What You'll Need

  • Minimum 5 years of business development, outside sales, account management, or relationship-based sales experience
  • Experience in commercial roofing, construction, property management, commercial real estate, facility services, restoration, or a related industry
  • Strong ability to build trust with property managers, owners, facility managers, and commercial decision-makers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional presence and comfort representing the company at networking events, client meetings, and industry functions
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently while staying accountable to company goals
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Preferred (Not Required)

  • Existing network of property managers, building owners, facility managers, HOA/condo contacts, or commercial real estate professionals in Central and Southwest Florida

The Role

Business Development & Opportunity Creation

  • Proactively identify and pursue new commercial roofing opportunities within industrial, commercial, retail, and multifamily markets
  • Build relationships with property managers, facility managers, asset managers, property owners, and portfolio decision-makers
  • Identify properties with aging roofs, recurring leaks, deferred maintenance, insurance concerns, or upcoming capital improvement needs
  • Develop opportunities through networking, referrals, cold outreach, LinkedIn, industry events, and direct prospecting
  • Generate qualified inspections, proposals, maintenance opportunities, and multi-property bids
  • Maintain consistent follow-up with prospects, open opportunities, past clients, and referral sources

Consultative Selling

  • Position CES Commercial Roofing as a portfolio roofing partner, not simply a roofing contractor
  • Help clients understand the long-term financial and operational impact of their roofing decisions
  • Present repair, restoration, coating, and replacement options based on building condition, budget, timeline, and ownership plans
  • Help clients understand lifecycle cost, capital planning, maintenance needs, storm readiness, and risk reduction
  • Communicate CES Commercial Roofing's value: technical expertise, commercial focus, emergency response, and long-term client support

Pipeline Management & Closing

  • Build and maintain an active sales pipeline of qualified commercial roofing opportunities
  • Track all opportunities in the company CRM with accurate status, timeline, and next steps
  • Move prospects through the sales process from initial contact to inspection, proposal, negotiation, and close
  • Present proposals in person whenever possible
  • Address client questions, objections, timing concerns, and competing bids
  • Ensure a smooth handoff from sales to production once a project is awarded
  • Maintain client relationships after the sale to drive repeat business, referrals, and portfolio opportunities

What You'll Need

  • 3 to 10 years of proven B2B sales experience
  • Experience selling to property managers, facility managers, owners, or commercial decision-makers
  • Strong relationship-building and consultative sales skills
  • Comfortable with long sales cycles (typically 60 to 180 days)
  • Comfortable pursuing and managing large commercial opportunities ($100K to $2M+)
  • Ability to generate new business through proactive outreach, networking, and consistent follow-up

The Role

We're looking for an experienced Commercial Roofing Sales & Estimator to generate new business, inspect commercial roofing projects, prepare accurate estimates, present proposals, and close profitable work.

This role covers the full cycle: lead generation through proposal, closing, and handoff to production. You'll need strong relationship-building skills and solid technical knowledge of commercial roofing systems, including coatings, SPF, TPO/PVC, modified bitumen, and metal roofing.

The right person is proactive, organized, comfortable on commercial roofs, and knows how to move a project from first conversation to signed contract.

Sales & Business Development

  • Generate, qualify, and close new commercial roofing opportunities through networking, referrals, cold outreach, and industry events
  • Manage and follow up on company-provided leads promptly and professionally
  • Build relationships with property managers, property owners, facility managers, consultants, and contractors
  • Present CES Commercial Roofing's capabilities, solutions, and competitive advantages to prospective clients
  • Maintain consistent communication with prospects and clients throughout the sales process
  • Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales goals

Estimating & Proposals

  • Perform site inspections to assess existing roof conditions, gathering measurements, photos, notes, and assessment details
  • Safely carry and set up a 28-foot ladder when required for inspections
  • Identify client pain points, priorities, budget concerns, and project expectations
  • Evaluate existing conditions and recommend appropriate solutions based on system type, condition, code requirements, and long-term performance
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, material take-offs, and labor calculations across coatings, SPF, TPO/PVC, modified bitumen, and metal roofing
  • Develop professional proposals that clearly outline the recommended scope of work
  • Collaborate with management to align estimates with pricing standards, capacity, and profitability targets

Client Management & Closing

  • Present proposals in person whenever possible to explain scope, solution, timeline, and value
  • Follow up consistently on open proposals and negotiate to close profitable projects
  • Address client questions and objections with clear communication and technical confidence
  • Collaborate with the project manager to develop a clear field project scope after the sale
  • Ensure closed projects are properly communicated to production and that clients understand next steps
  • Maintain strong client relationships before, during, and after projects to drive repeat business, referrals, and reviews

What You'll Need

  • Minimum 5 years of sales and estimating experience in commercial roofing
  • Strong understanding of flat and low-slope systems: coatings, TPO/PVC, modified bitumen, SPF, and metal
  • Ability to inspect commercial roofs, document conditions, and identify appropriate solutions
  • Strong estimating skills, including material take-offs, labor calculations, and proposal development
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Strong follow-up, organization, and time-management habits
